Psychologists more concerned with blaming the government than helping their patients

A very concerning letter from a group of psychologists (the Midlands Psychology Group) was recently published in the BPS’ notorious members’ magazine. The piece contains all the usual ideological tropes – anti-CBT, anti-evidence, anti mental health treatment, pro-activism, pro-blaming the government/society for an individual’s ills. Sadly this mindset is increasingly becoming then norm in psychology, and the mental health of the nation will reflect it.
